Travel Medicine Consultation

Our doctors are knowledgable about your medical and vaccine needs before traveling abroad.

TRAVEL MEDICINE CONSULTATION

A travel consultation is important to review and update routine vaccinations and country specific vaccinations, consider malaria prevention, discuss traveler’s diarrhea, assess high altitude risk, or any other general concerns about your health. Whether it be for vacation, business, or a mission trip, let us help you be medically prepared for your travel adventure.

In-order to get the most out of your visit, please have the following prepared prior to your consult:

Location of travel (country, provinces etc.) and dates of travel

Gather prior documentation of vaccinations or note if you have had them prior:

  • Routine childhood vaccines (i.e. Polio, MMR etc.)
  • Last tetanus (Td or Tdap)
  • Hepatitis A and B series
  • Prior specific travel vaccines
  • Routine adult vaccinations

Familiarize yourself with the CDC website for the specific destination(s): https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel

If indicated, we will provide prescriptions for malaria prevention, typhoid vaccine, traveler’s antibiotics, high-altitude medications, and provide routine vaccinations.

*If you need the yellow fever vaccination, or another less common travel vaccine, we are unable to provide those at our clinic, but can review and direct you to local resources.

We recommend scheduling at least several months in advance, or as soon as possible. Call to schedule today!
